Less vans on the road?
It seems to me that there are fewer used vans currently occupying the UK’s roads and car parks these days. Is this a result of the credit crunch? Too be honest with so many manual labour and serviceman jobs getting fewer by the day, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there is indeed fewer vans travelling. On the opposite side of the coin then – does that mean that there are more cars around? The answer to that question is a definite no! The reality is that people are cutting back on many things at the minute as a way of trying to save money. Read the rest of this post »
County Court Judgements (CCJ’s)
Now this is not something you would like to receive and have on your record. A CCJ (County Court Judgement) is a judgement issued by a court once you have failed to make the required payments that are stated in the contract of your car credit agreement. This is upon receiving a claim from the creditor that is taking legal action against you. The court then setup a new repayment process as a way of making things more affordable for you so that the payments can actually be made (as opposed to not being made previously). This new payment plan is based upon the individuals’ current status and circumstances. Read the rest of this post »
The Current Vans Market
Are people favouring new or used vans given the current situation in the country? Understandably there are less people upgrading their vans as there were say last year and understandably so. Over the last few years many have bought new vans with the assistance of finance packages / deals that enabled the value of the van to be paid off. This was in the way of a vehicle loan. However, since the start of the credit crunch, it seems that fewer vans from the ‘new’ section are being bought and so people are turning to used vans instead. However, these types of purchases (used vans) have always been a popular choice anyway regardless of the industry status. However, it seems that they have become even more popular as it is a more cost efficient way of buying. Read the rest of this post »
Websites Selling / Advertising Cars
There are just so many different car Websites being advertised these days that many could be forgiven for not knowing where to start. For example, yesterday I was conducting a little bit of research into the new X6 model from BMW and come across at least four companies that were advertising the exact same car! I know that exposure is the ultimate goal when it comes to online advertising but surely the seller could save themselves a bit of commission by not promoting the same cars in so many different places? I’m sure that there is logical explanations to this but forgive me because today I am not even thinking about buying cars but instead selling my own. I have come to the conclusion that I no longer need my vehicle as it has been sat parked up on the driveway for the last six weeks getting rusty. Therefore, I am looking at the best sites to advertise it online and already I have a few that seem to be offering decent prices and have a good level of visibility in the way of visitors to the site. There are 2 things that I have to my advantage. The first is that more people are buying used cars these days than ever before due to the financial difficulties that we have all been hit with. Try to compare.
So just what are they? Many people often get confused as to just what a car supermarket is. The reality is simple; a place where people can be used cars from dealers that include some of the popular vehicles produced by the main manufacturers. Try to compare it simply to a food supermarket where you purchase your weekly household goods. The car version of this is near enough identical except the products on sale are most certainly very different. Many companies operate such things as a way of making life easier for consumers to find a vehicle from the “market” so to speak. Read the rest of this post »

Used Seat Alhambra
This is a good example of a multi-purpose vehicle which has become the benchmark for its class. Even as a used car, the Seat Alhambra makes a lot of sense for buyers. This MPV is a result of a joint collaboration with Volkswagen and Ford. As there were many generations of used Seat Alhambra’s brought to the UK market, the vehicle was equipped, on average, with either a turbo diesel or petrol V6 engine delivering an approximate horsepower of 130.
